Once a year the Welburn Gourd Farm brings in the new crop and has a special day for best selection. I had a good time there even though I didn't get to stay long. Here are some curly dipper gourds I got at the event.
Gourds are the perfect medium for me. I can carve them, use pyrography, paint, weave, dye or write on them. I can do tribal art, primitive motifs, cutesy stuff, patriotic themes, goth looks, or whatever suits my fancy. So far I haven't run out of ideas! Text and Photos Copyright Fayme Harper 2012.
